Gavin
AvailableGavin is a large, senior male Domestic Short Hair living in East Hampton, NY. He has a striking black and white coat punctuated by an unmistakable heart-shaped mark on his nose. About Gavin
Gavin wears his heart on his noseāliterally. That black, heart-shaped spot sets him apart, but thereās more to this senior gentleman than memorable markings. Heās calm, gentle, and moves through each day with a quiet, dignified air that people immediately sense. His history hasnāt been easy: Gavin first landed in rescue after years in a hoarding situation with nearly ninety cats and little human attention. He lived for a time at the Town of Hempstead shelter before ARF Hamptons stepped in and brought him and best friend Mila into their fold. Mila, with her striking heterochromiaāone blue eye, one greenāshares a bond with Gavin stronger than most cat friendships. The pair were adopted together but returned to ARF after two years when their owner could not keep them. Since July 2025, theyāve stuck by each other in East Hampton, quietly hoping for adopters whoāll appreciate gentle companionship and the depth of their connection. Gavin spends his days lounging in sunbeams, grooming Mila, and waiting for someone who will keep them together. Heās friendly, serene, and ready for a second real chanceāideally, with Mila beside him. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
