About Mario
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Mario, a quirky 9-year-old who will steal your heart with his goofy energy and sweet personality. Sadly, Mario landed at the shelter as a stray in March 2019, where he was found to be heartworm positive and began treatment. While receiving the care he needs, Mario has also been training in the FIDO prison program, where he has learned obedience and important social skills. Mario can initially be a little shy with new people and would thrive in a calm, quiet home without small children. He does well with cats and may get along with other dogs, but will require a meet-and-greet to find the right match. Mario loves to run and play, so a fenced yard is a must for this lovable companion. Adopters can feel confident knowing Mario is house trained, crate trained, and knows his five basic commands thanks to his time in FIDO. Give Mario the safe and loving forever home he deserves and let this sweet shepherd mix show you just how much joy he can bring to your life. Adoption is the new adventure! Ready to roll?
