About Tawny
Tawny narrowly escaped a tough fate—she was picked as a shelter favorite but landed on the urgent list after getting an upper respiratory infection. Thanks to a quick-thinking foster, Tawny made it out and is now learning how to just be a dog for the first time. She’s living in a foster home with four other dogs and fitting in seamlessly. Playful and social, Tawny is always up for some fun. She’s waiting to make her big debut at the beach, living up to her 'Tawny at the Beach' name. Her foster home includes a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and next to him, Tawny looks like the teacup of the bunch—she’s a medium-sized Australian Kelpie mix with a short, red-toned coat. House trained, up to date on vaccines, and spayed, Tawny gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. She’s ready to meet her family and write the next chapter.
