About Duffy
Duffy arrived at the shelter looking rough—hungry, skinny, and unsure of everything after being left on the roadside with his brother and sister. These days, you’d hardly recognize him. His shiny black coat practically glows, and he carries himself with a regal confidence, topped off by those floppy ears that give him an endearingly dorky look. Duffy is very food motivated, still learning that mealtimes don’t require chaos, but he’s picking up manners with every meal. He’s clearly the leader among his siblings, always the first to explore and the one the others look to for cues. Duffy is smart, eager to please, and thoroughly enjoys his time romping and playing during turnout. Life at the shelter is the most stable he’s ever known, and he’s responding quickly to kindness and routine. He gets along with other dogs and is learning to trust people, but he’ll need patient guidance to polish up his obedience and confidence. At around a year and a half old, this large Lab mix is a blank slate, ready to soak up training and settle into life with a real family. Duffy also does well with children and is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. As a fun bonus—born November 15, Duffy is a Scorpio, often known for loyalty and determination.
