About Coal
Coal was the last of his siblings still waiting in the shelter, so the rescue team made sure to bring him home. He’s a sturdy, medium-sized guy, about two years old and around 40 pounds. His background is part Shar-Pei, part Labrador, maybe with some bully breed mixed in—no guarantees on the exact recipe. Coal lived with several dogs before, and he can be dog-friendly given the right introduction, but meet and greets are a must to find the right dynamic. Cats are a hard no for him. He’s met respectful older kids and handled those meetings well. Like a lot of shelter dogs, he’ll need some time to master house training, but with a steady routine, he should get the hang of things quickly. Coal loves his toys, never turns down a treat, and will happily soak up your attention. He could use some consistent basic training, just to help settle into a new home and learn the ropes. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s currently in Kearneysville, WV, ready to meet his match. Click apply to start the adoption process.
