About Fluffy
Fluffy comes from a group of formerly feral cats in Clinton, MD, and is still quite timid. She’s a small, brown tabby with white markings who lived as part of a colony behind a Walgreens and raised several litters there. While some of her family members have become friendlier, Fluffy has kept her feral ways and isn’t comfortable with much human contact. Because of this, she’d do best in a non-traditional indoor setting—think an enclosed barn, a brewery, or a business that would benefit from a low-key cat for rodent control. Her caretakers hope she doesn’t have to go back outside, so a safe, enclosed environment is key. Fluffy could do okay with someone experienced in handling feral or semi-feral cats if you have the patience and understanding to give her time to adjust. She’s not a social pet, but it’s always possible she could settle in under the right circumstances. If you have room for an independent cat who can keep her distance while helping keep pests away, Fluffy could be a good match. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Fluffy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tabby cats like Fluffy are highly adaptable, but given her semi-feral background, she'd do best in a quiet, low-traffic environment or a safe enclosed area such as a barn or business space.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Fluffy's breed can adapt to indoor life, but Fluffy herself would benefit from some space to roam, such as a large cat-proofed indoor area or an enclosed barn, rather than being outdoors unprotected.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Tabby cats generally can be good with children, but Fluffy's more feral temperament means she is not suited for households with young kids or active families.
