About Lucille
Meet Lucille! She’s a 5-year-old Poodle mix rescued from a puppy mill. Lucille is a sweet and gentle girl who is just beginning to show her personality. She arrived at AFA feeling timid and overwhelmed, adjusting to freedom and a new chance at life. Slowly, she’s starting to trust people and come out of her shell, revealing a happy, friendly personality ready to give love. Lucille is experiencing the world for the first time—gently being picked up by humans, walking on a leash, and even seeing grass. While she’s not yet comfortable on a leash, with patience, she’s making progress. She’ll walk a little but gets nervous around too much activity, often stopping and needing encouragement or to be carried. Lucille needs a forever home with patient and understanding people who can help her overcome her past and discover the joys of a dog’s life. *A fenced in yard is required for Lucille*. If you have the love, time, and patience to work with Lucille, come meet her. She’s ready to start living her best life! Interested in adopting?
