About Boy
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Boy! Boy is a charming 6-year-old, 80-pound pit bull terrier/mixed breed with a striking, broad noggin and an even bigger heart. After tragically losing his previous guardian, he’s hoping to find a loving family to call his own once again. Boy is an affectionate companion who quickly befriends everyone he meets—including children—always eager for snuggles and attention. Although he enjoys the occasional zoomies and brief sprints along the fence with other dogs, his past injuries and knee repair mean his back legs are sensitive, so a home without other dogs is best for him. It’s unclear how he feels about cats, but he can be cat-tested if needed. Boy thrives when surrounded by people and is looking for an adopter who works from home or spends most of their time at home, since separation anxiety makes being left alone quite stressful for him. Because of this, apartments or townhomes may not be the best fit. In his ideal home, Boy will cherish lounging with a bone on a big comfy bed, gazing out the window, and keeping an eye on the neighborhood or simply people-watching. He also enjoys car rides and is a wonderful passenger. If you’re seeking a lovable and loyal companion to share your home with, Boy could be your perfect match. Be sure to visit and meet him in one of the shelter’s cuddle rooms. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
