About Doc Holiday
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Doc Holiday arrived looking for a fresh start after a rough journey with his previous owners, seeking a gentle place to recover. Welcomed instantly by the resident lady dogs, he delighted in play and outdoor adventures from the beginning, showing off his friendly spirit during chase games and playful wrestling matches. Doc is a quick learner who picks up on house rules, easily responding to basic commands like come, sit, and stay, and knows how to enjoy the yard responsibly. This laid-back, quiet boy enjoys outdoor time and car rides, but he truly treasures his moments of affection, especially when he can have his back scratched or snuggle up in the morning after breakfast. Though he has endured past hardships and still works through some trust issues, Doc’s gentle demeanor shines through, revealing a dog who hopes above all to be loved and reassured. He is content to rest quietly, needing attention but never demanding it. Doc Holiday is one of many dogs who are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested for heartworm (with preventative provided in foster care). Please note: adoption meetings require an approved application, there is no public shelter location for walk-ins, and a home visit is necessary (only within a 2-hour radius of Dayton, OH). Make their next chapter their best one yet.
