About Solo
Solo is a 3 to 4-year-old Husky/Collie mix with a wild love for life and a story to match. When he first arrived, confusion and insecurity made every day tough. Being bounced around seven times took a toll—he struggled with separation anxiety, trust, and figuring out how to just be a dog around others. But two years made all the difference. Now, Solo bounces back with confidence, playfulness, and charm. His goofy, entertaining personality stands out. He welcomes all dogs as friends, accepts cats into his circle, and stays curious in new places. He’s got a nurturing side and can become very attached, sometimes bordering on clingy, unless given regular chances to burn energy and explore. For Solo, structure and encouragement are essential—he craves routine and thrives with boundaries. Outdoor adventures are his thing: hiking, fishing, boating, camping, or just a good car ride. Family, kids, and strangers? He’s loving, affectionate, quick to cuddle, and generally open, though sometimes a little timid until he gets reassurance. Guidance brings out his best. He’s pack-oriented: he gets by solo, but he truly shines surrounded by people and other animals. Solo is both house and crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and his off-leash recall is solid. He’s happiest with someone willing to invest time in training, as he’s eager to please and quick to learn but needs consistent direction. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
