Rubie is a small Westie/Poodle mix with a soft, medium-length white and cream coat. At around 9 years old, she’s settled into the best parts of her personality. She landed at a high-volume shelter after being surrendered by her previous family and arrived with some medical needs. The shelter handled a mass removal and hernia surgery, and the rescue will soon take care of her cherry eye and dental work. Life with Rubie is uncomplicated. She’s happiest when she’s close, following her person from room to room, asking for belly rubs or settling in for a cuddle. Car rides are her favorite—she perks up as soon as she sees the car. Walks and time outdoors also make her light up. Rubie gets along with other dogs, but humans are really her priority. She is house trained, spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines.
