About Doc Holiday Bonded To
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Doc Holiday! Doc is a striking German Shepherd/Husky/Lab mix weighing around 67 pounds and was born in December 2022. He came into rescue with his bonded buddy Wyatt Earp after their former family needed help finding homes for them and their siblings. Since arriving at the shelter, Doc and Wyatt have shown a close bond and are searching for a loving family willing to adopt them together. Doc is the more outgoing of the pair, helping Wyatt to feel comfortable meeting new people. Multiple meet-and-greets may be needed to build trust, but once these boys warm up, you’ll earn lifelong loyalty. Since they haven’t grown up around children or unfamiliar dogs, Doc and Wyatt would benefit from slow introductions to any resident family or pets. Older kids are preferable, as sudden noises or movements can be intimidating, and their enthusiasm could knock over little ones. They haven't been tested with cats yet, but this can be arranged. Both dogs have learned several tricks and basic commands like "sit," "down," and "off." They know when it’s time to go outside for play and potty breaks and walk well on leash, though they may still pull in their excitement. The transition from outdoor to indoor life has made them a bit anxious, so their future home should be patient, supportive, and dedicated to helping them build confidence. Doc and Wyatt would thrive as inside/outside dogs with access to a climate-controlled space, plenty of food and water, and a secure, fenced area for exercise. They are looking for someone willing to help them continue their journey to becoming well-adjusted members of a forever family. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
