About Casper

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Ghost is a sweet young Akita boy currently located at A Passion for Paws Rescue in Romoland, CA. He came into the shelter on 8/4/2023 and has shown a gentle spirit despite a difficult past. Having been mistreated and dragged with a catch pole before arriving, Ghost is understandably timid and cautious, and he currently struggles with some fear-based reactivity and food resource guarding. The dedicated team at the rescue is working patiently to help him overcome these challenges so that he can be ready for his forever home. Ghost would especially benefit from the kindness of a force-free, positive-reinforcement trainer or knowledgeable volunteer willing to spend time helping him recover and learn to trust again. Until he’s fully ready for adoption, Ghost will appreciate sponsors or volunteers to support his care and journey. With patience and love, Ghost has the potential to be a truly special companion in the right home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
