About Rain
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Rain! Rain is a sweet and gentle Catahoula/Labrador mix with a calm, loving soul who arrived with nine companions and is now ready to start a new chapter. Born in July 2022 and weighing about 55 pounds, Rain leaves her past behind as she searches for a family to call her own. Rain is very friendly with other dogs and people, though she might be a touch shy at first when meeting new faces. Once she warms up, her affectionate and quietly gentle personality truly shines. A devoted companion, she’s happiest lounging by your side, enjoying peaceful moments with her loved ones and hardly ever barking. If you’re looking for a loyal, easy-going friend who loves life’s little comforts, Rain could be your perfect match. Her adoption fee covers her spay, a negative heartworm test, and up-to-date prevention and vaccinations. While currently located in Texas, Rain is eligible for transport to many locations in the country (with a transport fee). Please note, she is not able to be transported to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to regulations. Rain is ready to find a forever home where she’ll be cherished and adored. Questions about Rain
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Labrador Retriever and Catahoula Leopard Dog mixes generally do well in homes that provide space to move around and include an active lifestyle. A house with a yard is ideal, but they can adapt to various environments if given enough daily exercise and mental stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A large, securely fenced yard is great for this mix, helping them burn off energy safely. Regular outdoor time and walks are important to meet their exercise needs, though they can adapt to smaller spaces with enough activity.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Yes, both Labradors and Catahoulas are generally good with children, especially if socialized early. They are typically gentle and patient, making them wonderful family companions.
