See adorable videos in here Facebook post (you will need to copy and paste the link shown below into your browser to view them - they are too large to post here - allows pets all over, and fine with other dog in video This beautiful girl came into the shelter on 10/2 as a stray. She has no estimated age, but appears quite young and mobile in video, and weighs only 44 lbs. We have named her Miss Snow. Shelter notes from 10/06/26 state, “Environmentally distracted, no interest in handler, does not come to handler when called. When attempting to pet displays lip licking and yawning and moves head away. Did not complete any additional handling at this time. Needs rescue by 10/9/26 5pm”. Videos were provided on 10/7 and show no aggression whatsoever, and in fact, show this girl being pet all over, being playful in the yard, and also doing fine with another dog. https://photos.app.goo.gl/btJv8k838okmaXDg8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZFL5CcUr2uty2jYX8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/xg6tTbK8vCLujSe48 We already contacted the shelter asking for more time and were given until 10/11 only. Sadly, at this very full shelter, Miss Snow is expected to be euthanized if no one steps up. An adopter or foster and rescue are needed now. If you can adopt in person, please contact the shelter asap at (408) 686-3900 and note her ID. While she is not a regular adoption candidate, she may be considered for adoption with a waiver per the manager, Lorance. Due to her urgency, though, Miss Snow likely needs a rescue though, and thus a foster, as most rescues need a place for a dog to go! Therefore, if you can potentially foster, or foster to adopt, through a rescue, or if you need further help, please contact robinmorgan@cox.net or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap. We can refer you to a rescue group to hopefully save her in time. Her listing link is: https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/SCCO/A139623 If you are a rescue group and can possibly rescue her, please email the shelter at lorance.gomez@cep.sccgov.org & monique.rodriguez@cep.sccgov.org - note her ID on the subject line and that you would like to rescue or adopt. Since she may be adoptable with a waiver, rescues may not need to be partnered, Please also call the shelter asap.
