The Aussiedoodle is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, so there's no single standard and no two dogs look quite alike. Sizes run from toy to standard, coats range from loose waves to tight curls, and colors include merle, tricolor, chocolate and black. Some have the low-shedding coat people hope for, but others shed more, so adopters shouldn't count on it.
Both parent breeds are quick learners with a lot of drive, and many Aussiedoodles stay close to their people. Plan on daily exercise, training games and regular brushing, plus a professional groom every six to eight weeks. Each dog is different, so judge the dog in front of you rather than the mix.
