Once homeless, she received a full check-up and a spay, but she has some challenges ahead of her. 💔 Sadly, during her examination, she was found to have several mammary masses consistent with a very malignant form of cancer. After she heals from her spay, she’ll need a major surgery called a unilateral mastectomy. Yes, it’s serious, and she’ll have a scar down the side of her abdomen to show for it. But let’s focus on the bright side: she is a fighter! 💪 Lucy will need a soft, loving space to recover from her surgery, away from the noisy kennel environment. It breaks the heart knowing she hasn’t had the care she so richly deserves.
