Meet the magnificent Spice, a handsome male American Pit Bull Terrier mix, who has graced this world for 2.5 delightful years! 🌟 This charming fellow was discovered on that fateful morning of October 31, 2023, wandering near Colegate Drive in Marietta, Ohio. Lucky for him, a sweet Good Samaritan invited him to join her on the adventure to safety, away from the bustling streets. Sadly, Spice was not wearing a collar or microchipped, which leaves us hoping he had a loving home prior to his journey with us. With his stunning dark brown/brindle-and-white smooth coat and expressive dark brown eyes that exude kindness, Spice turns heads wherever he goes! 🐾 His uniquely marked face is simply beautiful, boasting a dark chocolate nose and floppy ears that only add to his undeniable charm. You can't help but fall in love! Spice arrived at our shelter understandably nervous. His gentle heart was frightened, and it tore at our hearts. Thanks to our incredible staff and loving kennel techs, including the wonderful Jennie Payton Sherrard, who treated him to walks and lots of cuddles, Spice has blossomed. ✨ He’s learned that he’s surrounded by people who care, and now it’s time for him to find that forever family who can love him just as deeply. Spice has a cautious yet friendly personality. He takes his time to warm up to new folks, but just give him a moment, and he’ll be your best buddy! Although he’s a bit selective about his doggy friends, his heart melts over ‘good boy’ treats that he’ll gently wait for, wagging his tail in anticipation. 🍖 Just a heads up—Spice is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be ideal! At a solid 55 lbs, this adorable boy has been neutered and is ready to embark on his next chapter. He recently celebrated two whole years at HSOV on Halloween 2025. Can you believe it? 🎉 He has all the love from our kennel techs, yet nothing compares to a warm, loving home where he can enjoy cuddles and endless playtime 24/7.
