Meet the delightful Poppy! This little black Pittie Lab mix is bursting with personality and charm. Born on August 5, 2025, she began her journey on the side of the road alongside her sisters, Phoebe and Poppy, and their brave mama, Nylah. Nylah was just a young pup herself, doing her best to keep her little family safe until they were rescued and brought to safety at the Franklin County Dog Shelter. But oh, it was quite the chaotic start for this loving family! At the shelter, life was overwhelming for Nylah, who sheltered her babies while barking to protect them from the surrounding noise and activity. However, their luck shifted when they found a wonderful foster home. Unfortunately, some larger pups broke through the defenses and attacked Nylah, but she valiantly defended her girls, sustaining injuries in the process. Thanks to her bravery, her little house hippos were unharmed. Now, Nylah is cautious but healing, and her daughters are ready to find their forever homes! Poppy, our peacemaker, loves to join in on the puppy parties but knows when to take a step back when things heat up! She's playful, affectionate, and ever-so-smart, and she's always by your side, ready to participate in life’s adventures.
