With his uniquely charming, wonky little body, Scooter is a lovable bully who is determined to enjoy life to the fullest. 💖 Scooter's story began with a sad chapter, abandoned by a careless backyard breeder. They wanted him to be short and stout, but when the experiment went wrong, our furry hero found himself alone—eating trash and dragging his little self on the side of the road. 😢 But look at him now! Since arriving at MVPC, he's seen a wonderful vet and started physical therapy. And guess what? He’s not in pain! 🚀 Every day, he’s gaining strength and confidence, and he loves nothing more than splashing around in water! Scooter Pie adores playtime with his jolly balls and herding balls! 🐾 This little superstar gets along great with both small and large dogs. In fact, he would thrive best with another male dog in the home, as socialization is key for this sweet soul. And let’s not forget about his love for humans—belly rubs rank at the top of his favorite things! 🤗 He is currently working on his leash skills and basic commands, and he’s making such great progress! Potty training is going well, too, although a little confession: he loves to chew, so stick to hard toys for this enthusiastic fella! Did we mention he’s a fall baby, born on October 16th? That makes him a Libra! 🌟 Libras are known for their charm and sociability, and Scooter Pie is no exception. This sweetheart can't wait to find his forever home and meet YOU! The adoption fee is $350, which helps cover his health checks, vet visits, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. And here's a fun note: adopters need to have some dog experience and a secure fence (no electric fences, please!). Children aged 8 and older will adore him!
