This gentle soul came to us as a stray, bearing the marks of his past with several severe injuries. Thanks to the love and care he received, he’s on the mend, but his journey hasn’t been without challenges. Just over 3 years old, he’s learned that family can be a little elusive, but he’s yearning for the warmth and affection of a steady home. ☕🐶 With a heart as big as his name suggests, Coffee has a protective nature, especially towards the ladies in his life! Although he may take a little time to warm up to new friends, once he does, you'll see the sweet side of him shine. He’s treat-motivated, walks beautifully on a leash, and is generally a joy to be around, making him easy to handle for our wonderful volunteers. 🍖✨ Now, let’s address those charming quirks! Coffee does have some permanent damage from past injuries, including bite wounds and some trauma to his facial nerve, causing him to have a bit of muscle mass loss on the left side of his skull. But don’t worry—he eats and chews with no issues! 🦴 Furthermore, he had a back leg injury in the past that has since healed, though he sometimes favors it, especially when he runs. Despite his past, Coffee is an absolute gem of a house dog! He keeps his kennel spotless, cherishes his stuffies without destroying them, and is quite the tidy pup. Plus, he’s down for car rides, especially if it means a pup-cup treat along the way! How adorable is that? 🥤😍 A word of caution: Coffee will need a meet and greet with any dogs in the home and would thrive best with non-dominant companions.
