The Aussiedoodle is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, and its size follows the Poodle parent, from toy and mini dogs under about 30 pounds to standards near 70. Coats are usually wavy or curly and come in many colors, including merle. Dogs vary a lot, so a dog's own history and personality tell you more than its mix.
Both parent breeds are quick, high-energy workers, and many Aussiedoodles want a job, whether that's agility, hiking or training games. In LA, that fits easily with the city's trails and dog parks. Plan on professional grooming every six to eight weeks and regular brushing, since the coat can mat quickly and shedding isn't guaranteed to be light.
