About Aspen
Aspen is ready to step out of survival mode and embrace the love she deserves. This beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd mix has endured a challenging start, spending her early days in a high-kill shelter in New Mexico before being rescued. Having likely been a mama dog, Aspen is now learning the joys of life as a puppy. She’s a professional shadow, following her humans around and enjoying affection, especially from children. Living up to her sunbathing queen title, she loves soaking up the sun while attempting to catch bugs in the yard. Cheese is her ultimate treat; she becomes enthusiastic when it’s time for a cheesy snack! While Aspen is making strides with potty training and sleeping through the night in her crate, she needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. With a little guidance and love, she will thrive beautifully. Aspen is taking part in her foster family’s world, getting to know the other dogs and enjoying walks, though she could use some leash training. This sweet girl is thriving in a loving environment and is ready for a family to cherish her as she grows. Please share Aspen's story and apply to adopt her today!
