About Lizzie Borden

Meet Lizzie Borden! Don’t let her name fool you — the only thing this little girl is stealing is hearts. Lizzie came into our care at just 5–6 weeks old after suffering a serious injury to her left front leg, likely from an animal attack. Unfortunately, her injuries were too severe, leading to an amputation at a young age. Despite everything, Lizzie remains one of the sweetest souls. She simply asks for a warm lap to curl up in, gentle hands to love her, and a safe place to call home. Cuddling with her favorite people is her idea of a perfect day, and she soaks up every bit of love she can get. Now, Lizzie may only have three legs, but her heart is overflowing with love. As she continues to recover, we seek a very special family who understands that her journey is just beginning upon adoption. Lizzie is a special-needs kitty, requiring patience and accommodation for her physical limitations. Her future family won’t need to be perfect, just committed. After everything she has been through, we want her next chapter to be filled with comfort, security, and unconditional love. Lizzie isn’t seeking pity; she wants someone to see her for the amazing kitten she is, beyond just her leg. If you have a soft spot for underdogs (or undercats!), a cozy lap, and the patience to help this little girl thrive, Lizzie Borden might be your perfect match. Help us give this brave survivor the happily ever after she deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
