About Shrek

Meet Shrek, a charming 6-year-old XL Bully with a heart as big as his basketball-sized head! Shrek has had quite the adventure, moving through both Yucca Valley Shelter and 29 Palms Animal Shelter before arriving at our care. Now, he’s ready to find his FOREVER HOME and settle in for good. Don’t let his size intimidate you; Shrek is a certified couch potato who loves lounging. In his foster home, he proved to be house-trained and crate-trained, preferring the relaxation of home over high-energy play. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys shorter strolls, but mostly, he wants to soak up all your love. At about 96 pounds, this gentle giant has met several dogs and gets along well with most. However, a meet-and-greet is a must before adoption. Shrek is ready for a comfy couch and a loving family to share his life with. Come meet this adorable hippo and see if you're the friend he’s been waiting for!
