About Carl

Carl is a sweet 8-10 week old puppy searching for a loving home. He, along with his brother Parton and momma Dolly, was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston, Texas. Life in the shelter can be overwhelming for such a small pup, so he's eager to find his forever family. Carl is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, weighing in just enough to fit in your hand. We expect him to grow to around 10-12 lbs. Having received his vaccinations, microchip, and deworming, he’s almost ready to settle in; he’ll be adopted under a neuter contract as he's still a bit too young. Though he’s been practicing potty training, a refresher will help him adjust to his new surroundings. This little guy is friendly with other dogs and cats. However, because he's a bit shy in new situations, it might be best for him to be in a home without kids. He’s looking forward to the love and care of a patient family.
