Meet Brisa! Brisa is a 1-2-year-old, 15-pound Shih Tzu mix with adorable merle spots and a loving personality that shines through every day. This little lady loves snuggling up in your lap, playing with her favorite toys, and enjoying some chew time. She excels in fetch and is even getting the hang of bringing the toys back to you! With a low-key lifestyle, Brisa enjoys short walks and a little playtime. She walks well on a leash, loves car rides, and makes for a wonderful companion. As a dedicated watchdog, she takes her window-watching duties seriously, alerting you with enthusiasm when something catches her attention, but she settles down nicely afterwards. Brisa is making progress with potty training and does well with frequent opportunities to go outside. She sleeps peacefully in her crate at night but will need a potty break during the night. While she can be a bit mouthy when showing affection, she responds well to gentle corrections. It's important to keep an eye on her when doors are open, as she can be quick to dart out. Brisa would thrive as the only pet in an adult home or one with a quieter environment. A home without other dogs is preferred, as she has some behavioral challenges around them, particularly when crated. A fenced yard would be ideal for her leisurely bathroom breaks. While she can't jump on furniture herself, she happily accepts a lift when needed. This sweet girl needs a patient adopter who understands that she's still learning and can provide gentle, consistent guidance.
