About Cooper
Meet Cooper, a 1-year-old, 45 lb Husky who’s ready to find his forever pack. Rescued from the San Bernardino City Shelter, he’s currently fostered in Canoga Park, captivating hearts across the San Fernando Valley. Cooper has a delightful personality; he’s goofy, sweet, and genuinely affectionate. True to his Husky nature, he’s talkative and has a lot to say—greeting you at the door, narrating his walks, or expressing his opinions about meal times. But he’s not just a chatterbox; he’s a love bug who dishes out tons of kisses. Cooper is great with kids and has a warm, easygoing nature. He’s not mouthy, doesn’t resource guard, and remains calm on the leash—quite commendable for a young Husky. Cooper does well with most dogs, although he can be particular about his friends. He’s showed curiosity, without fixation, towards cats while on a leash, meaning an experienced owner could help him adjust to a feline household. He’s crate trained and healthy, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Remember, he shouldn’t be crated more than 2 to 4 hours at a time and he thrives in an active home—think 3 to 4-mile walks daily. While still very much in puppy mode, Cooper will relax with time. He’s available for adoption anywhere in the USA. If you understand and love the joyful chaos that comes with a Husky, Cooper could be the perfect match for you, so come meet him!
