Moon arrived at Paw Parent after her elderly guardians could no longer care for her and her companion, Zappa. This transition was tough, especially for timid Moon. Initially, she was fearful, but with a lot of patience and gentle affection, she began to trust her caregivers. Now, she revels in full-body rubs and is eager for love from her humans. At 10 years old and weighing around 45 pounds, Moon is in the process of gaining some healthy weight, as she tends to be a picky eater who prefers wet food. Remarkably quiet, Moon hasn’t made a sound since her arrival; she might just be the quietest dog the team has ever encountered. Moon is deeply protective of Zappa and does not tolerate other dogs getting close, so she would thrive in a home without other pets. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Importantly, Moon and Zappa must stay together, having spent the last 8 years side by side. Their bond is irreplaceable, and separating them would be heartbreaking for both.
