About Kong
Kong is back and bringing some extra love with him. He boasts the solid build of a Staffordshire but has the scruffy fur of a Wire-Haired Terrier, making him quite a unique-looking dog. Unfortunately, he returned to our shelter after being surrendered due to housing issues, a situation that had nothing to do with him. He's back, nearly 40 lbs heavier than when he left, and could benefit from some help getting back to a healthier weight. Personality-wise, Kong is incredibly easygoing. He radiates calmness, walking beautifully on a leash without pulling. He enjoys leisurely strolls, happily sniffing along the way and soaking in life at his own pace. While he used to love playing fetch, he's currently more interested in relaxing than chasing after toys. Kong is housebroken, kennel trained, and leash trained. His previous family noted that he's good with kids and other dogs, making him an excellent companion. With his gentle demeanor and unforgettable looks, Kong is ready for a second chance at a loving home.
