At about 11 months old and weighing around 25 pounds, Scout is a scruffy terrier mix with striking blue eyes that make her a standout. Sadly, her current family is rehoming her due to changes in work schedules and family allergies. This friendly dog adores everyone, including both kids and adults, and is always excited to make new friends. She enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes and has learned to respect those that prefer not to play. Scout knows a plethora of commands—sit, stay, come, and more—showing that she’s not just cute but also smart. House trained and crate trained, her crate is like her personal space, where she feels safe and secure. Scout loves walks and beach outings and can even run alongside a bike. While she needs a little more guidance on not jumping up when greeting people, she responds well to positive reinforcement. She does need a home that keeps tempting items out of reach, as she’s still learning what’s appropriate to chew. Scout would flourish in an active, loving home with family members who can help with her training. She’d be thrilled to have another playful dog around but would also adapt well to a family without one, as long as she gets plenty of socialization.
