Meet Eleanor! She’s a big-hearted, gentle soul whose favorite things in life include soft beds, kind people, and canine friends. When Eleanor first arrived at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she was a bit unsure about her surroundings. Now, as a proud graduate, she’s affectionately called a "snugglebug couch potato." You’ll find her happily relaxing on the couch or futon, soaking up all the attention from her trusted humans. Eleanor enjoys leisurely walks and gentle play sessions, especially chase games with other dogs. She's even been a fantastic helper dog for those who are a bit more anxious than she is. Her calm and social nature really shines through. With familiar faces, she's affectionate, playful, and incredibly sweet. Eleanor loves a good petting session, often nudging your hand to ask for more. While she may be a tad nervous around new people at first, she warms up quickly and soon seeks out affection. Eleanor has been working hard to build her confidence—learning to ride in cars, navigate stairs, and walk nicely on a leash. Once out exploring, she becomes a pleasant walking companion. As a sensitive dog, sudden noises or loud situations can startle her, but with patience, she recovers quickly. Eleanor would thrive in a loving home where she can take her time adjusting and is rewarded with affection. In return, you’ll have a loyal companion who enjoys life quietly curled up beside you.
