Kaia is a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Alaskan Husky mix with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and enough energy to keep you on your toes! She's still settling in at the shelter, but one thing is already clear: this girl is a total goofball who is always ready for her next adventure! Kaia does well with other dogs and cats but prefers mellow animal companions as she appreciates having her personal space respected. For this same reason, older, respectful kiddos would be the best fit. She's great on a leash and would love an active family who enjoys getting out and exploring. She's a professional hug and kiss giver and does jump up when she's excited to see you. She may have some separation anxiety while settling in. She's been through a lot of changes and would do best with a family willing to help her build confidence when left alone. Kaia also had a portion of her intestine removed when she was a puppy, but that hasn't stopped her from living life to the fullest!
