Jonathan, named after the famous Uconn Husky Mascot came into our care in August after being dumped on our local airline trail. He is smart, exceptionally sweet and loves to be brushed. He will require an active home that can keep him busy. Jonathan is 92 lbs of muscle and silky fur that will need to be groomed on a regular schedule. He knows how to "sit", "give a paw" and lay down. One of his favorite things is laying on his oversized bed at night and breathing in the fresh air. Jonathan will take off if he is not contained so a fenced in yard or adequate acreage with supervision is a necessity for sure. He has met other dogs and enjoys their company but he can sometimes be overwhelming to them with his size. He enjoys digging holes to hide his toys and bones in along with going on car rides so that he can stick his nose out the window. Jonathan is vaccinated, on a monthly flea & tick preventative and heartworm preventative. He was treated for anaplasmosis but has had zero other health issues with the exception of a hot spot on his paw that didn't deter him from his daily hole digging activities. Jonathan is a one of a kind dog, he would do best in a home without young children because he is so large he may accidentally knock them down. He has not been cat tested but is tolerant of other animals. A proper meet & greet would be advised. He carrys around his red squeaky toy everywhere he goes (including the vet) so that he can show it off.
