Picasso
AvailablePicasso is a male, medium-sized adult pitbull mix. He displays a lovely brindle coat and is not yet altered. His personality has blossomed in the shelter as he learns to engage more with staff and surroundings. Located in Santa Cruz, CA, he is awaiting his forever home with a bit of preparation needed for successful introductions to other pets.
About Picasso
Meet Picasso, a striking brindle pitbull mix now at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. He arrived as a stray, so we don't have much background on his life prior to the shelter. Initially, Picasso was quite reserved, but he has gradually warmed up to the staff, showing his playful side as he gallops in the exercise yard. He's even discovered the joy of resting on a chair by himself. When it comes to other dogs, Picasso can be a little too eager, greeting them with enthusiasm that sometimes leads to humping behavior. Because of this, any resident dogs will need to meet him at the shelter before adoption. Potential adopters should be aware of this behavior and allow Picasso time to decompress, avoiding busy dog areas at first. We don't have any history of him with children or other pets. Picasso is currently available for pre-adoption, and you can meet him before he undergoes neuter surgery. Plus, thanks to a generous donor, his adoption fee is sponsored! If you're ready to welcome a new friend into your life, come by and see Picasso — you might just fall in love! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
