About T Rex

Meet T-Rex, a charming 6-month-old gray kitten. She arrived at the shelter as a stray, having been fed by a good Samaritan who noticed some medical concerns with her leg. After evaluation, our clinic team found that T-Rex has some abnormalities in her front left leg, including missing toes and an unusual wrist structure. While this might affect her mobility, she’s still able to run, play, and use her litterbox just like any other cat. Given her condition, it’s best for T-Rex to stay indoors to avoid potential dangers. She's a bit shy initially, but nothing gets her more excited than food. Ideally, she'd flourish in a patient, cat-savvy home that understands her needs. With slow introductions, she may do well with other cats, though we lack information about her interactions with dogs or children. If you're looking for a sweet companion, T-Rex might just be the one! Be sure to visit her at our Santa Cruz location, open daily from 11 AM to 6 PM. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about T Rex

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

T-Rex, a domestic shorthair cat, would thrive in a calm, indoor environment where she can feel safe and comfortable. Given her leg condition, an indoor setting is essential.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

T-Rex should not be allowed outdoors in uncontained spaces due to her leg condition. A secure indoor space where she can explore is best.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

We do not have any history of T-Rex with children, so it's best to consider a quiet and patient environment for her.
