Charlie is on a journey similar to his namesake from *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory*. Instead of seeking a golden ticket, he's searching for a loving home. After spending a few months in foster care, Charlie has made incredible progress. He is fully house-trained and walks nicely on a leash. At night, he quietly curls up at the foot of the bed, enjoying the comfort of company. This playful boy loves squeaky toys and chew bones, and he enjoys playtime with both small and large dog companions. Yet, he’s also totally content to nap beside you. Though Charlie can be a bit shy when meeting new people, a few minutes of quiet and some treats will help him warm up into a loyal friend. He would do best in a home with older kids who understand his need for space during adjustment and would thrive with a confident dog sibling to help him feel secure. Everyone who meets him sees his shining potential, and they all agree this sweet pup is ready to thrive in the right environment.
