About Cochise
Cochise is seeking a quiet and loving home where she can finally unwind and feel secure. Named after a 9th-century Chiricahua Apache leader known for promoting peace, this sweet girl embodies that same spirit. She's been through a lot, having arrived at PACC after losing her owner and understandably feeling a little shy in the busy shelter setting. Fortunately, she's currently in a calmer environment at Tucson Rescue Now where sheβs learning to trust again. Cochise enjoys peaceful walks and behaves beautifully on a leash, rarely pulling. While sheβs not yet into toys, she loves treats and gentle pets. She really shines around trusted humans, often curling up close for cuddles. Although she is appreciative of one-on-one attention, Cochise may need to be the only dog in her new home as she can be protective of her special people. For families interested in adopting, it's vital to establish a calm and controlled environment to ensure everyone gets along. If you're ready to offer her a soft landing, Cochise is eager for a place to belong.
