About Leah
Meet Leah, a striking black-and-white Pit Bull mix about 2 years old, currently at Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, AZ. Leah needs someone who can offer her patience, guidance, and a secure environment to help her thrive. She previously lived with other dogs and will need a slow, careful introduction to any new furry friends, as well as to unfamiliar people. Leah can be uncertain around new faces, so itโs important to gradually acclimate her to visitors. However, she has shown willingness to be handled by staff, despite her initial nerves. When out in a playgroup, she often looked for an escape route rather than engaging with others. Secure containment will be vital for her safety. She has a history of escaping when left unattended, so supervision is required whenever sheโs outdoors. Leah is also currently receiving treatment for Valley Fever but stays active and cheerful. With the right owner, Leah can become a loving companion. If you have the time and a secure home, consider giving Leah a chance to find her forever home. Adoption can only be completed through PACC, and interested adopters must meet her before the deadline on Monday, 11/09/26. Come see if Leah is the right fit for you!
