**NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ADOPTION!!!** We are proud to present our Disney Villains litter! These pups were born 10/11/26 (turning 4 weeks old on Sunday, 11/8/26). Mom is reportedly a mix of Rottweiler and Shepherd , and dad is a Pit mix (photos of each at the end of the post) -- (but puppies and parents are very much more than two breeds). These pups are being handled daily by staff, preparing them for life beyond the shelter with different sights, sounds, and handling. As they grow, we will begin introductions to other friendly dogs and cats, etc. We suspect based on size of the parents (they are both 75 lbs) that the pups will be of similar weight/size. While puppies are not ready to go until after 12/6/26, we are starting to accept applications to help expedite their journey to their forever homes. Approved applicants will be able to begin limited visitation 11/23 or after by appointment (and only with an approved application!). Our application can be found at the following link: https://www.kendallcountyil.gov/.../animal.../adoption... and should be returned completed via email to animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov or brought to the shelter and dropped off in person at 802 W John St. Yorkville, IL.
