Piper is a young, energetic girl looking for an active and patient family who can keep up with her enthusiasm for life! She already knows how to sit and would benefit from positive reinforcement training classes to help her build good manners and learn to channel her excitement appropriately. While Piper came into the shelter with another dog, she can become overly excited when meeting unfamiliar dogs, and not all canine companions may appreciate her enthusiastic approach. Slow, supervised introductions to new dogs will be important. Her history with children and other animals is unknown, so thoughtful introductions and supervision are recommended. Piper would thrive in a home committed to providing plenty of daily physical exercise, mental enrichment, structure, and patience as she continues learning how to be the best companion she can be!
