Hi there! My name is Charlotte, and I'm a 28-pound Mixed Breed girl with a sweet personality and a little bit of spice! I'm a calm, curious lady who loves exploring my surroundings and sniffing out all the interesting smells. I'm fantastic on a leash and walk politely without pulling, making me a wonderful companion for peaceful strolls. I'm not too concerned about other dogs when passing by, and I'm usually more focused on where my next adventure will take me! I also love seeing my favorite people and will happily stop for some good butt scratches. Praise is one of the best ways to win me over, and if you hear me howling, I might be telling you I need a potty break or would really love to go for a walk! While I'm generally a calm and sweet girl, I do have a sassy side when I want something, and I appreciate having my boundaries respected. I can be nervous around grooming brushes, so I'll need patience and gentle encouragement to help me feel more comfortable with brushing. I also need space while I eat, so it's best to let me enjoy my meals without touching me until I'm finished. I may not be the biggest fan of toys or treats, but a little praise and kindness go a long way with me! The kennel staff here absolutely adore me, and I'm hoping to find a family who will love me just as much. My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
