**Meet Selene - a sensitive soul who just needs to feel safe.** Selene is a beautiful white German Shepherd with one of the sweetest, most sensitive souls you'll ever meet. She wants to trust and be loved, but right now, the world can still feel like a very scary place to her. Selene needs a **quiet, patient home** where she can settle in at her own pace. Give her time, kindness, and a safe place to land, and you'll begin to see the sweet girl hiding behind all that fear. Recently, Selene slipped away from a wonderful foster home and spent three frightening days on her own. Thankfully, some amazing citizens heard her barking and crying and were able to help get her to safety. Her little adventure made one thing very clear: **Selene will need an extremely secure yard and a family who understands that she is a flight risk while she adjusts.** She doesn't need someone to push her to be brave. She needs someone patient enough to show her, little by little, that she **is safe**. For the right person, watching Selene come out of her shell and learn that the world isn't such a scary place will be something truly special. **Selene isn't looking for just any home. She's looking for her safe place.**
