Meet Carousel! Carousel "Cari" is a beautiful, one-year-old, 46-pound coonhound mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This gorgeous girl is equal parts adventure buddy and professional snuggler. She loves walks, gets excited when she sees her leash, and has the energy to make an excellent running companion. But when the adventures are over, she's convinced she's a lapdog! She loves cuddling in bed, preferably as the big spoon, and simply cannot get enough affection. Carousel is potty trained, knows how to use a dog door, and has excellent manners when it comes to leaving things on the counter alone! She's treat motivated, already knows how to sit, place, and lie down, and takes treats ever so gently. She loves toys, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and will happily follow you from room to room to supervise whatever you're doing. Carousel is a big, strong girl who doesn't always realize her own strength. Although she loves children, a home without small kids would be best while she continues learning boundaries. Cats are unknown but we think she'd just want to play. She does experience some separation anxiety and will need a patient family willing to work with her on crate training and building confidence when left alone. However, she has made fantastic progress over the past week and is becoming more independent. She even spent an evening home alone while crated and she quietly slept the entire time foster was away. Carousel is spayed and ready to find her people! If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, slightly oversized lapdog who will be your walking buddy, cuddle partner, and constant shadow, Carousel might just be your girl!
