Meet Churro! Churro’s journey with us started when this sweet 18-pound boy found himself on the euthanasia list at the county shelter. He was terrified, heartworm positive and desperately needed someone to give him a chance. Fast forward to today, and Churro has come such a long way! He has officially completed his heartworm treatment and all of the required rest and restrictions that came along with it. He’ll be retested in January as a final formality, but we’re ready to start looking for his forever family! Once Churro feels comfortable, his personality really shines. He is playful, affectionate, and an absolute toyaholic who loves carrying his toys around, tossing them in the air, and showing them off. He enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home, loves cuddling up on the couch, is doggie-door trained, and even considers his crate his own cozy little space. Churro can still be nervous when meeting new people and needs a family who will give him a little patience while he learns that he is safe. Once you earn his trust, though, you’ll have an incredibly loyal little best friend. After everything Churro has overcome, we would love nothing more than to see the next chapter of his story be the one where he finally finds his forever home.
