Meet BENNIE! Bennie is 4 months old and about 13-14 lbs as of early November 2026. We think he’s a dachshund/lab/terrier/maybe corgi mix! He’s a low rider with short little legs and just the cutest little guy! He is currently being fostered in a home with several other dogs including his siblings and is great with them all. He likes to romp and play! He’s exactly what you would hope from a puppy: playful, sweet and happy-go-lucky! He’s been great with everyone he’s met so far and is good with men, women and children. Given his age and demeanor, we know he’d be good with cats too, and this age is the perfect time for introductions! He is also doing super well with house training so we know with some more guidance and being on a regular schedule, he'll be perfect! He is vaccinated, fecal negative, on prevention (heartworm and flea and tick) and is ready to find his forever home! **PLEASE NOTE: Bennie is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to his forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship in cabin with a person to many airports including JFK, LGA, EWR, BOS, PHL, BWI, BDL, DCA, IAD, TPA, MCO, ORD and many more! The process is incredibly easy to get your dog over from Puerto Rico and we have done it thousands (not an exaggeration) of times! Any questions about whether we can ship to, please ask!*** Please feel free to email us with any questions about him! We are a small all-volunteer rescue and we see every email that comes through, so your inquiry will not get lost! See below for application info. The best fit for the dog is our priority. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog. In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
