About Yates

Yates A188702 43 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old -This handsome young guy is such a gentle sweetheart! He walks nicely on leash and enjoys calmly exploring the yard and sniffing around. He was completely unfazed by the birds swooping in to steal his treats! 😆 He's very food motivated, knows sit, and takes snacks incredibly gently. -He was a little hesitant when invited up onto my lap, but eventually worked up the courage to join me for a few kisses. He seemed almost unsure if he was allowed to be there! Once inside, though, he was much more interested in snuggles and handing out more kisses. -For such a young boy, he's wonderfully calm, sweet, and gentle. He hasn't shown much interest in toys just yet, but he's perfectly happy soaking up affection instead. -A very handsome, well-mannered little gentleman. Good boy! ❤️ -Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be! -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** *The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30 **We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
