Hi everyone! My name is Vela! When I first arrived, I was covered in stickers and painful matting. Some of my fur was even beginning to fall out. I desperately needed a fresh start, and that is exactly what I got. Just wait until you see my before and after photos because my glow-up is pretty incredible! Now that all of that painful matting is gone, I can finally be comfortable, enjoy being a dog again, and focus on what comes next: finding my forever family. I am 2 years old, so I still have so much life and love ahead of me. I am an incredibly gentle, sweet girl with a calm little personality. One of my favorite things to do is simply spend time outside sniffing around and taking everything in. I don't need to be the center of attention. I'm perfectly happy just being by your side and enjoying the moment. And speaking of being by your side, I am an official passenger princess. Put me in the car, and I am ready to go wherever the day takes us. My leash manners? Well, since I'm a lady, they are true perfection. I walk beautifully on a leash and make a pretty wonderful little companion. I've already had my glow-up. Now I just need the part that matters most: a family of my very own. At only 2 years old, I have so many adventures, car rides, walks, lazy afternoons, and years of love still waiting for me.
