FOSTER NEEDED NOW - text Ashlyn 253-217-8685 This dog is joining our rescue after being confiscated during a warrant execution as part of the cruelty case investigation involving the Pittie Project PNW. They have been in temporary protective custody with Whatcom Humane and will soon be released into our care, where they will begin the next chapter of their journey toward safety and a brighter future. Animal Information: Soldier is a 2-year-old, should be 65lb shepherd mix. He came into a CA shelter with a pack of six dogs after my family lost their home in a fire. Before coming to Washington, Soldier attended community events, where he showed off his leash manners, and was a wonderful shelter ambassadog. Meeting him at the property, despite being underweight and covered in filth, Soldier was so eager to engage, offering lots of eye contact and following basic obedience commands. He walked nicely on a sliplead, and was happy to go into a clean crate. Soldier has that special, old soul energy and we are grateful to be a part of his journey to a forever home.
