Mochi is a spayed female Domestic Short Hair, medium in size, with a striking black and white (tuxedo) coat. She’s an adult cat who is house trained and vaccinated, ready to be a loving companion. Living in Bear, DE, she has a playful spirit and adores the company of kittens and dogs alike.

About Mochi

Mochi is on the lookout for a truly special forever home. She found her way to Cheyla's Rescue Foundation in June 2026 after a harrowing experience left her paralyzed alongside the road. Initially, we thought she suffered an injury from a car, but further checks revealed a bullet lodged in her spine. Despite this, Mochi’s incredible spirit shines through. Currently living with our veterinarian, Mochi plays an essential role in caring for foster kittens and has even become fond of her foster mom's dogs. Although paralyzed, she gets around with impressive mobility and doesn’t rely on a wheelchair. Mochi does require her bladder to be expressed 3-4 times a day, but she is very cooperative during the process, making her care manageable–no diapers or extra litter boxes necessary. Her playful nature and love for interactive toys make her a joyful presence, and she eagerly anticipates mealtime. Aside from her bladder needs, she's a healthy girl who thrives in the company of other animals. We’re seeking a compassionate individual to embrace Mochi and provide the loving home she deserves.
